RAH 2015 – YOU Rode for Food!

Thank you for participating in Riders Against Hunger!D70_8806 - Version 2

The ride took place this past Saturday on August 15th. It was another successful year – great weather, great ride with friends old and new – we couldn’t have asked for a better day. We had 129 participants on 105 bikes of all makes and models. We raised a total of $32,296! More bikes, more participants and more money than the year before. Our goal for our fifth annual ride was 125 participants raising $30,000 or more so we surpassed our goal on both counts!

Thank you to all of our sponsors who covered the cost of the event and more ensuring that 100% of what you raised will go directly to programs that provide food to hungry families in our Food Bank and support services like cooking classes in our Learning Kitchen at Eden Food for Change.

New this year, we introduced a new participant level called Elite Rider for those who collect $500 or more in donations. They received a gift that could not be purchased, unlike the other incentive gifts. It was a black military hat with the 5th annual patch on the front and the words, “Elite Rider” embroidered on the back. We acknowledge and thank our RAH 2015 Elite Riders (pictured below from left to right) Frank Caridi, Chris Diamond, Dale Giesbrecht, Bill Crawford, John Hurdis, Tracy Toews, Susan Hawke and Dave Pratt (not pictured).
